Marcel Wanders Skynest Suspension is a technical, innovative light with a dramatic silhouette. What makes this pendant truly unique is that the light neither comes from a bulb nor an LED board but instead from the fabric, which has LED strips incorporated.
The dome is constructed from a network of tubular mesh made from recycled polyester, with each luminous element powered by a special micro-connector connected to the top. To ensure optimal light emission from the LED modules, these are always white when facing the inside of the dome.
Skynest has a built-in balancing system and an aluminium ring at its base to keep the structure in place through a simple snap-fit design.
Skynest Suspension is constructed without any glue so that all parts can be detached and recycled at the end of their life.
