The pendant lamp is made of aluminum and is suitable, for example, for lighting the living room or dining room table. It is possible to rotate the individual modules by 60° to change the direction of light emission. In addition, the brightness can be regulated with an external dimming system (1-10V, DALI, push dim, potentiometer). The hanging lamp was designed by the Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola. She always starts her projects by establishing an empathic connection with the user and relating objects to people. In addition, Patricia Urquiola attaches great importance to sustainability. In the Almendra series, too, a plastic was used that is obtained from a by-product of paper production. In addition, no glue is used so that the LEDs can be easily replaced by the manufacturer and the individual elements can be recycled depending on the material.
